Drop-In: One-time lesson. No refunds. 50% deposit at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy:

If a lesson date cannot be attended, the lesson is forfeited unless the lesson is rescheduled within the same calendar week (Monday-Saturday).

Be aware, that the re-scheduled lesson may be delivered online. If I need to cancel for any reason, I will make up the lesson at a later date.

Rescheduled lessons may not be rescheduled again. The lesson will be forfeited if the new date cannot be attended.

Lesson Delivery:

Please be aware that Inishowen is a one-person music studio. I am a working musician and can sometimes be travelling during your lesson time. Learning from a working professional adds so much to your lessons but also brings some logistical challenges.

Inishowen Music Studio reserves the right to deliver some in-person lessons online if the teacher is travelling, schedule and time zone permitting. This is so that you can maintain a consistent practice routine. If the student declines this format, the lesson will be forfeited.

Your progress depends on attending your lessons from week to week and practicing regularly. The purchase of lessons is a commitment to yourself.

Arrival:

Aisling Studio:
Please park on the pad at the back of the house or along 112th Ave. Please be mindful of blocking in students who are ahead of you.
Please come to the BASEMENT DOOR (on ground level, side of house). There is no door bell so please knock loudly.

Inishowen Studio:

Please park on the pad at the back of the house or along 48th street. Please be mindful of blocking in students who are ahead of you. Please come to the FRONT DOOR. There is no door bell so please knock loudly.  If there are students scheduled ahead of you, the door will be open and you may come in and seat yourself in the the living room.

Lateness:

Inishowen Music Studio reserves the right to decline the lesson if the student is more than 10 minutes late to a Demi Term (30-minute) lesson or 20 minutes late to a Flexi Term (60-minute) lesson.

Sickness:

Please be mindful of hand washing and covering your mouth when coughing, particularly during cold and flu seasons. If you are within the first 5 days of fever/chills onset, please stay home as the likelihood that you are contagious is still high.

Inishowen Music Studio reserves the right to decline the in-person lesson if the student is presenting with obvious and elevated symptoms of sickness (runny nose and eyes, temperature, sneezing and coughing fits).

If you are sick, an online option will be provided to you. If that option is declined, and 48 hrs cancellation policy has not been followed, the lesson will be forfeited.

Singers:

Unless you have laryngitis it is typically safe for you to sing when you are sick. Every singer has had to perform while being sick at least once in their career. Attending your lesson while you are sick provides a great opportunity to learn about symptom management in relation to your voice as well as vocal rehab. You only ever sing with 100% optimal vocals 3% of the time and 100% of those times, no one will be there to witness it! Remember there are so many other things we can focus on in a lesson besides singing that will ensure you develop into a well rounded musician.  So let's keep expanding our vocal and musical knowledge.

Please Bring:

  • A notepad and pen
  • Any lesson books you already have.

Singers also bring:

  • A straw
  • A bottle of water
  • Recording device (voice memo app on your phone is sufficient)

These items will be required for every lesson.
